Cleaning of process equipment and products

Every manufacturer or industrial user of chemicals performs cleaning operations, whether cleaning of equipment (e.g. chemical manufacturers) or cleaning the surfaces of products (e.g. industrial users). Cleaning operations are typically not value-adding processes and are a significant source of waste, downtime, pollution and costs.

The reader will learn techniques for reducing VOC emissions in surface cleaning processes through substitution of abatement techniques. The reader will also learn equipment cleaning techniques such as how to reduce product waste and save costs with pigging and Clean-In-Place (CIP) technologies.
